EVERY BRICK IS A WITNESS

The sun was high and hot as I exited the car to investigate an interesting building seemingly in the middle of nowhere. I could almost hear conversations of the people that once occupied Morris Ranch.

One thing that draws me to photograph old buildings are the impressions that life leaves behind.

Can't you hear the screen doors slamming? A google search explained that this was once a thriving community known as Morris Ranch, Texas. It was first founded in the early 1880's by Francis Morris. It grew into prominence under his son's direction when they started a thoroughbred breeding business. At one time the ranch included a racetrack, living quarters for jockeys, and various businesses.

Is it the Live Oaks that makes it seem haunted?
